Puzzolana Classifiers are designed to remove the silt, clay, and deleterious material from the natural sand, earth, and (-) 150-micron content in the manufactured sand.
Puzzolana manufactures two types:
1. Dry-type work on the mechanical separation principle and used for reducing the (-)75 microns in the feed.
2. Wet Type of Classifiers of Bucketwheel type, Hydrocyclonetype
Puzzolan Thickners are optimum and efficient for the speedy recovery of the process water for reuse with minimum wastage.
The Bucket Wheel Classifier is a superior washing equipment that provides a higher quality product compared to other options. Its effective and gradual washing process contributes to improved product quality. The slow-moving spirals, combined with high-capacity rotating buckets, enhance productivity levels. Additionally, Bucket Wheel Classifiers require less power for operation, resulting in high productivity while keeping maintenance costs to a minimum. When equipped with a Dewatering Screen, the Bucket Wheel Classifier becomes a highly efficient system for recovering fines from Manufactured Sand and Crusher Dust.
Puzzolana Air Classifiers provide an effective solution for the separation and retrieval of ultrafine, fine, and coarse materials in various industrial processes such as sand manufacturing, aggregate production, and mining. It is a highly reliable and cost-effective system for eliminating fines from natural or crushed sand, offering a more environmentally friendly and economical alternative to wet classification since it doesn’t require the use of water.
The Puzzolana Hydro Cyclone Classifier is a gravity-based separation device with a high throughput capacity. It is designed to separate particles in a slurry based on their weight. This classifier is commonly used for sand separation and classification, as well as for separating sand from water or sludge.
Designed for heavy-duty applications, a log washer is used to clean aggregates—like gravel, stone and ore—by removing stubborn clay and other impurities.
The system employs two rotating, interlocked shafts with paddles that thoroughly scrub and agitate the material. This action loosens and breaks apart contaminants, while water jets flush them away. The inclination of the machine determines how long the material stays inside, optimizing the cleaning process. By delivering thoroughly washed aggregates, log washers enhance the quality of output, making them ideal for use in construction, concrete production, and other aggregate-based industries.
Thickening involves separating a slurry or mixture of solids and liquids into a concentrated slurry with a high solids content and a clear overflow. The separation occurs due to the force of gravity, as the differing densities of the phases cause the solids and liquids to separate. Sedimentation thickening is utilized in both the product and tailings streams to recover water, which can then be recycled within the process.
